The Facts:
Williams wrote on his web site that he was having previously undisclosed surgery Monday. Rock Hill Herald beat writer Darin Gantt, after making some calls, reports the surgery doesn't sound serious and that it had something to do with the foot/ankle issues that kept Williams on the sidelines late in the season.

In case you missed it, Williams missed the final two games, and lost the team rushing title to backup Jonathan Stewart. As Gantt
points out, Williams was well enough to play in the Pro Bowl, and to wander around Miami the following week making appearances, so it couldn't have been a huge concern. ... We will, of course, continue to follow up as further details come to light.
