Fantasy Football Diehards Line:
Gonzalez sprained the posterior cruciate ligament in his right knee late in the first quarter of Sunday's opener against Jacksonville. A person close to Gonzalez told Star staffer Mike Chappell that the 2007 first-round draft pick hopes to be back after the Oct. 18 bye, which would mean he would miss four games. ... HC Jim Caldwell, however, told reporters on Thursday that Gonzalez could miss up to two months. "It could be two to between six and eight weeks," the coach said. Meanwhile, the team announced the signing of former Eagles WR Hank Baskett on Thursday.
