The Facts:
Thomas insisted he will be ready to play Sunday at Philadelphia after missing the opener with a sprained knee. "I'm going, I'm going, I'm going," Thomas said. "If I have to tell them, hey, I'm going."

But as Times-Picayune staffer Mike Triplett notes, the question now is, where does he fit in? Thomas' replacement, Mike Bell, was outstanding against the Detroit Lions in Week 1, rushing for a career-high 143 yards on 28 carries -- though he had a costly fumble in the third quarter. Bell will continue to be a big part of the Saints' offense if and when Thomas returns to the mix. How the Saints plan to handle that is something we'll be watching for very closely in coming days.
