Cardinals, Beanie Wells Agree To Terms
(8/1 10:20 PT)

The Facts:
The Cardinals agreed to terms on a five-year contract with Wells late Friday night, and the first-round pick should arrive in training camp in time for today’s afternoon practice. Wells was due to take a physical this morning. The Cardinals released tight end Alex Shor to create the roster spot for Wells. Reported by the Arizona Republic

Fantasy Football Diehards Line:
Wells, who played at Ohio State, will compete with Tim Hightower for the starting running back’s position. Both players are expected to play a lot, because HC Ken Whisenhunt prefers to use a two-back system. But coaches hope Wells can give the team a big-play ability that it’s been missing from the position.
