The Facts:
Former first-round pick Meachem is facing more expectations from the Saints this season, so says QB Drew Brees. "(I expect) big things from 'Meach'," Brees said."Going into his third season, he's one of just a few guys that I can literally say that every day he gets better. It's a tribute to him and his commitment to really trying to find a place in this offense and find a key role where he's contributing a lot."

Fantasy Football Diehards Line:
His first season was a wash, with Meachem suffering a knee injury in the preseason and he didn't recover enough to be activated in any of the 16 games. Last season, he played in 14 games, starting three. He caught 12 passes for 289 yards and three touchdowns. This season, the team is hoping he lives up to his lofty draft pick status. We suggest, however, waiting to see a little more evidence of progress before getting too excited.
