Steelers Respond To Ben Roethlisberger Case
(7/21 8:51 PT)

The Facts:
Following up on a developing story. ... A casino employee, Andrea McNulty, is suing Roethlisberger, accusing him of sexual assault at a Nevada hotel in July 2008. In a phone interview late Monday night, Steelers spokesman Dave Lockett told WTAE Channel 4 Action News, "We are aware of the allegations but cannot comment on the specifics of the case. We've been told Ben's side of the story and we fully support him at this time." Reported by thepittsburghchannel.com

Fantasy Football Diehards Line:
Roethlisberger is not facing any criminal charges, and it's unclear if McNulty ever tried to file a criminal complaint before taking legal action against him. It should be noted, however, that McNulty's charges -- outlined in legal papers and detailed on Profootballtalk.com -- are rather specific and leave little room for misunderstanding. In case you missed it, Roethlisberger's attorney, David Cornwell, immediately denied the charges, saying: "Ben has never sexually assaulted anyone; especially Andrea McNulty. ..." Stay tuned. We'll obviously be following along closely.
