The Facts:
It's possible that Northcutt could be suspended for at least one game this season because of a prior incident involving his ex-girlfriend. In an e-mail exchange Monday, NFL spokesman Greg Aiello said, "We're looking into this."

Northcutt's ex-girlfriend Sharri Henry sued Northcutt, alleging he arranged for his bodyguard, who was his cousin, to hit her in the face and disfigure her while she was four months pregnant. She later gave birth to a boy. Northcutt has denied wrongdoing and a Los Angeles judge threw out at least part of the lawsuit in April. ... Meanwhile, MLive's Tom Kowalski suggests Northcutt's arrival in Detroit is an indication that team officials haven't been impressed with former Raider Ronald Curry. Both players are vying for the slot receiver position.
