Northcutt, a veteran receiver, was recently traded to Detroit in exchange for safety Gerald Alexander. According to NFL spokesman Greg Aiello, "Civil cases generally are not reviewed under the conduct policy."

The fact the league isn't likely to impose any discipline has to be good news considering MLive.com staffer Tom Kowalski's belief that Northcutt should win the battle over Ronald Curry for the starting slot receiver position in the Lions offense.
