Brian Leonard To Get A Shot At 3rd Down Role
(5/8 1:36 PT)

The Facts:
Following up on a previous item. ... Leonard was used mostly as a fullback in St. Louis, but the Bengals are looking at him more as a third-down back. "I'm looking forward to that," Leonard said.  Reported by the Cincinnati Enquirer

Fantasy Football Diehards Line:
Leonard, acquired via trade yesterday, added: "I still have a lot of skills and can catch the ball out of the backfield. I had some idea that I might be traded. There's a new coaching staff in so you don't know what they want or expect. I went through both mini-camps but I guess they decided to go in another direction. ..." A second-round pick in 2007, three picks after the Bengals took Auburn running back Kenny Irons, Leonard started seven games as a rookie and finished with 303 yards on 86 carries.
