Plaxico Burress Giving Attorney Headaches?
(4/8 9:39 PT)

The Facts:
Burress and his criminal defense lawyer, Benjamin Brafman, currently aren't seeing eye to eye regarding the reluctance of Burress to accept the various plea deals that Brafman has negotiated. In fact, we're told that Burress has rejected as many as three offers from prosecutors. Each one would have involved jail time — with Burress released by the start of training camp. Reported by Profootballtalk.com

Fantasy Football Diehards Line:
But PFT's Mike Florio reports that Burress continues to decline any offer that requires him to go to prison. That being the case, the alternative is to stand trial and risk a mandatory sentence of 3 1/2 years if a jury finds him guilty of illegal weapons charges. And reiterating our previously stated belief here, Florio reports that some league insiders are convinced that no team will be genuinely interested in signing Burress unless and until he gets the legal situation resolved.
