Following up on a previous item. ... Leftwich left Tampa Bay without a contract as the team continues to weigh it's options. Now we're hearing its unlikely the Bucs will sign Leftwich but they are committed to adding a fourth quarterback and wanted to evaluate him.

According to Times staffer Rick Stroud, the Bucs really aren't that impressed with the current class of free agent quarterbacks, which include Leftwich and former Bears quarterback Rex Grossman. Stroud went on to state his believe that Tampa Bay will likely wait until after the draft to add a QB to the mix of Luke McCown, Brian Griese and Josh Johnson.
