The Facts:
In an abrupt change of direction, the Cardinals have parted ways with DC Clancy Pendergast. NFL Network’s Adam Schefter confirms earlier reports that the Cardinals let Pendergast go this week, several days after a last-minute loss to the Steelers in Super Bowl XLIII.

Fantasy Football Diehards Line:
The move means the Cardinals will enter next season with two new coordinators -- OC Todd Haley was named head coach of the Chiefs on Friday. As far as a possible replacement for Pendergast, HC Ken Whisenhunt could try to land Pittsburgh LBs coach Keith Butler, whom Whisenhunt wanted to interview in 2007 upon taking the job but was denied permission by the Steelers. Look for Whisenhunt to handle the play calling with Haley no longer on board.
