The Facts:
Jacobs is quoted on the Daily News' website as saying he will return to the backfield in hopes of helping the team secure the number one seed in the NFC. Wanted to back that up with what I've been told by someone familiar with Jacobs' status and the team's plans. That person said he's "likely" to play, barring any setbacks in practice this week.

Fantasy Football Diehards Line:
As Star-Ledger staffer Mike Garafolo suggested, everybody's cautious with Jacobs after the Cardinals game when he was listed as probable and then didn't play. But in this case, Garafolo believes the importance of the game will get him on the field. Obviously, the ideal scenario is to get Jacobs on the field on Sunday, win, clinch home field and then rest him for two weeks.
