Once it seemed as if the Giants would have no problem disposing of Burress. But now, if Burress can avoid being incarcerated — and that’s a mighty big if — the Giants might consider recycling. Coaches around the league agree that New York’s offense just is not the same without Burress. Without him, teams can stick more defenders in the box, shut down New York’s running game and worry less about the Giants’ passing game.

NFL Network insider Adam Schefter went on to note the team has lost two straight games and they haven’t scored an offensive touchdown in either one. Their offense could not come through against Philadelphia at home or Dallas on the road. The more the Giants struggle this season, Schefter believes the more likely it is they will bring back Burress.
