The general manager and team president of the San Diego Chargers both reaffirmed their support of HC Norv Turner, the San Diego Union-Tribune reported.

The Chargers, who were expected to contend for the AFC this season, are 4-6 and have lost three of their last four games, leading some fans to call for Turner's dismissal. But Chargers GM A.J. Smith and team president Dean Spanos both left little doubt that Turner is still their man, according to the report. "I think it's foolish," Smith said of suggestions that the team change coaches, according to the report. ... “We hired Norv because we believed in him,” Spanos said. “We're not in business to change coaches every year.”
