Miami signed Camarillo to a 3-year deal worth around $6 million, an NFL source said. The deal will keep Camarillo, 26, in a Dolphins’ uniform through the 2011 season.

Camarillo, a three-year veteran who leads the team with 49 catches for 538 yards, would have been a free agent at season’s end. But the Dolphins proved once again they didn’t want to lose one of their most-reliable players. Last month, the team signed back-up running back and special teams ace Patrick Cobbs to a two-year deal worth a little less than $2 million. “The two most consistent players since the day I walked through the door have been Greg Camarillo and Patrick Cobbs,” HC Tony Sparano said.
