According to PFT's Mike Florio, the Saints filled the spot by inking FB Darian Barnes (starting FB Mike Karney could miss three more weeks with an injured knee). Adam Caplan of Scout.com reports that they also have signed running back Mike Bell. The Saints added another running back via the practice squad, inking Lavarus Giles. ... Stecker suffered an injury during Sunday’s win at Kansas City. After rushing for 448 yards in 2007, Stecker gained only 43 yards on eight carries this season.
