The Facts:
A pickup truck belonging to a Miami Dolphins player was found abandoned after a crash on Interstate 595 earlier this month, the Florida Highway Patrol reports. The 2008 Ford pickup truck is owned by Hartline. FHP is investigating who was driving the truck at the time of the crash. The vehicle had to be towed away. According to authorities, just after 4:30 a.m. on July 3, the pickup truck collided with an abandoned 2002 Cadillac Escalade on Interstate 595 just east of Interstate 95. "His vehicle ran off road and hit the parked car," said FHP Sgt. Mark Wysocky. "We don't know who was driving the vehicle."

According to an FHP report, after the crash, a trooper went to the Hartline home and spoke with a guest who was staying there. The woman at the home told the trooper to contact Hartline's wife, who was in California. When troopers left a message with her, a call was returned by Hartline's attorney. Hartline's attorney told authorities that Brian Hartline was not injured. ... Hartline, expected to challenge for a starting job opposite Brandon Marshall, has yet to speak with authorities. The team has not commented on the situation. ... In other words, stay tuned.
