According to an Associated Press reporter who showed up at Oak Grove High School, where the veteran QB is working out with local kids, Favre appeared as if he's "getting along just fine" on his surgically repaired left ankle.

Favre had the arthroscopic procedure performed in May and has been throwing to receivers at the high school for a few weeks. But when the 40-year-old Favre got done with his hour-long workout on Monday he grinned and waved at reporters before driving off. Favre has yet to tell the Vikings if he will return for a 20th season in the NFL, but most people with the team and around the NFL would be stunned if he did not come back. “He ain’t working out for no reason,” teammate Tarvaris Jackson said recently. The Vikings have made it clear to Favre that they would be fine with a timeline similar to last season, when he joined the team after it broke training camp in Mankato, Minn., in time for the second game of the preseason. ...
