Fantasy Football Diehards Line:
With Favre poised to show up at Green Bay's training camp following fruitless talks with team CEO and president Mark Murphy on Wednesday, the newspaper reported that agent James "Bus" Cook was having discussions with the Jets -- presumably over a potential deal. Citing two other sources, the Press-Gazette also reported that Cook has not been working closely with the Buccaneers, which along with the Jets are the only two teams who have received permission from the Packers to speak with Favre. Previous reports have indicated Favre had no interest in playing for the Jets, who stumbled to a 4-12 record last season after posting a 10-6 mark in 2006. It is believed Favre wants to play for the Vikings, a division rival of the Packers. ... And the beat goes on. Stay tuned.
