The Facts:
The Bengals this afternoon reached agreement on a contract with one of their two first-day draft picks, Simpson of Coastal Carolina. "We have come to terms," agent Dave Butz wrote in an e-mail to The Enquirer. "Nothing officially inked yet."

Fantasy Football Diehards Line:
Simpson is widely viewed as a long-term prospect. In fact, the Dayton Daily News recently suggested that Simpson is no way ready to replace former Chris Henry as the No. 3 receiver. In fact, third-round pick Andre Caldwell might be a more immediate contributor (assuming he signs in a timely manner).
