The Facts:
Burress was on the sidelines watching practice this morning. No biggie, right? After all, he was listed on the injury report yesterday as a guy who would practice only once per day. So he must be scheduled to practice this afternoon, right? Well, maybe not. In fact, even coach Tom Coughlin doesn't seem to know. "I'm not sure what that issue is," Coughlin said after practice. "Until I have more information, I'm not commenting. I just said all I can say."

Given Coughlin's comment, it's worth noting that Burress sat out mini-camp practices because he was upset with the progress of contract negotiations. He was fined because he made his reasons clear -- money, not an injury, was keeping him off the field. He was fined $42,000 for sitting out those five practices. This time, it was supposedly and ankle injury that would limit him. But now, after Coughlin spoke this morning, it's not certain. "I have no idea," Coughlin said when asked if Burress will practice this afternoon. Stay tuned.
