The Facts:
According to Yahoo! Sports correspondent Jason Cole, Favre and the Packers have reached some level of agreement on his future after Favre and team management held a call in recent days, according to an NFL source with extensive knowledge of the situation. The basic agreement entails the Packers coming up with a list of teams willing to trade for the future Hall of Famer, then presenting him with the list to find out where Favre would prefer to play.

The arrangement doesn't mean a move is imminent, however. "It may take awhile," a source told Cole. "The Packers are hoping that some team has a big injury and then is forced to make a deal." It's unclear what the Packers want in return for Favre, but they are hoping for leverage. ... All this, of course, would be rendered moot if the increasingly popular theory that Favre is having second thoughts about his return turns out to be correct. Stay tuned.
