The Facts:
On the good news front, Watson, who had ankle surgery during the off-season, participated in the practice, after sitting out the morning session. He didn’t seem the least bit hampered as he ran routes and caught passes.

Watson had surgery in late February/early March and at least one observer expected the veteran tight end to open training camp on the physically unable-to-perform list. That he's able to work is obviously a good sign. The next step will be emerging as a more consistent producer.
