Despite sustaining a deep bone bruise in his lower back in the third game of the season against the Eagles, Johnson continued to play most of the games, but was nowhere near full strength. We're now getting a better idea of how bad it was. "I was on meds the rest of the season. I was taking Vicodin twice a game just to get through the game," Johnson said.

Johnson went on to tell Booth Newspapers' Tom Kowalski that nobody -- not even the coaching staff -- knew how bad the injury was at first. Then-OC Mike "Martz couldn't stand the fact that I wasn't practicing," Johnson said. For the record, Johnson caught 48 passes for 756 yards and four touchdowns; he also scored on a 32-yard run, but the totals were less than expected. The obvious hope is a healthy Johnson will do more this year.
