Joey Harrington Returns To Falcons
(3/11 4:39 PT)

The Facts:
According to NFL Network insider Adam Schefter, the Falcons on Tuesday re-signed Harrington, who was released by the team last week. The new deal is a one-year contract worth $1 million. Reported by FootballDiehards.com

Fantasy Football Diehards Line:
Harrington, signed last spring to a two-year, $6 million contract, was scheduled to earn $2.5 million in 2008 and he is due a $1 million deferred signing bonus on March 15. Atlanta was absolved of the base salary by releasing Harrington. By re-signing Harrington to a restructured contract, the Falcons gained cap relief in the short term while retaining the services of a veteran 10-game starter in 2007. Seems like a wise move. Chris Redman and D. J. Shockley were the only QBs on the roster until Harrington's return.
