But it does lend further credence to both actual reporting -- by NFL Network insider Adam Schefter, Boston Herald staffer John Tomase and Boston Globe beat writer Mike Reiss -- and rumors that began emanating from Boston area radio stations last night suggesting a potential five-year deal was in the works.
