Fantasy Football Diehards Line:
Mularkey was Miami’s offensive coordinator in 2006 and the tight ends coach in 2007. He is also a candidate for the HC position in Jacksonville. Despite the interest from other team's Mularkey told Journal Constitution staffer D. Orlando Ledbetter that he’d be dialed in to call the offensive game against the New York Giants. "It’s just so structured that there’s not enough time to really focus on anything else," he said of the playoff game. "And I’m serious about that. ..." Owner Arthur Blank told Ledbetter that losing some talent is a good thing. “That’s one of the prices for success, particularly when you have it over time,” Blank said. Since 2008, the Falcons are 43-21 (.672). Only New England (48-16, .750), New Orleans (45-19, .703), Pittsburgh (45-19, .703) and Baltimore (44-20, .688) have won more games over that time span. Under Mularkey, the Falcons offense has finished in the top 10 in scoring in each of the past two seasons.
