Fantasy Football Diehards Line:
Given his history -- and being given a chance to work behind and learn from Tom Brady, Mallet couldn't have gone to a better team. According to his
NFL.com scouting report, Mallett has the arm strength and size of a franchise QB but still needs to continue to develop his accuracy and decision-making consistency. Had off-field issues at Arkansas, but the Patriots have a strong locker room that helps young players learn how things are done at the next level. Bottom line? The Patriots got a player many thought would go as early as the first round in the third. Solid value.
