The Facts:
Fitzgerald has already lived through one failed top-10 pick at quarterback in Arizona. He didn’t want to go through it again. “If you miss at corner, you can plug in someone else and play through it. If you miss at that position [quarterback], it’ll set your franchise back years, man,” Fitzgerald told Michael Silver of Yahoo! Sports Thursday.

Fantasy Football Diehards Line:
“When I was looking at the [possible] picks, I thought [Von] Miller, [A.J.] Green and [Patrick] Peterson (who the Cardinals selected fifth overall) were the best available players, and the can’t-miss guys,” Fitzgerald said. "I didn’t see a can’t-miss quarterback. A can’t-miss quarterback is a guy like Andrew Luck, a guy who’s got every single intangible you could ever want. ... Like Matt Ryan. ... Even though Fitzgerald wasn’t sold on any of the top picks in this year's draft, he is eager to see how the team upgrades the position once free agency opens. But will their failure to land a solid QB be an issue going forward? Will Fitzgerald look to move on if they don't? “I don’t have any plan of doing that,” Fitzgerald said. We'll see. The current thinking is Marc Bulger winds up a Cardinal once free agency opens. It remains to be seen if he will be the answer.
