Fantasy Football Diehards Line:
After starters Vincent Jackson (franchise player tag) and Patrick Crayton, there's not much proven receiving talent on the Chargers' roster. Malcom Floyd could flee as a free agent. Buster Davis, a former first-round pick, has been an extreme disappointment. There are mediocre players clogging the depth chart after that. According to his
NFL.com scouting report, Brown is a bit undersized, but fights off the press effectively and has a knack for getting open in both man and zone coverage. His greatest asset is his competitiveness, as he plays angry and willingly sacrifices his body to make catches and is a great run blocker. Overall, Brown's physical attributes are less than ideal, but he is tough football player who adds depth at a position in transition in San Diego.
