The league says there is "no basis" for the demand for the $1 billion bond. NFL argues request for money is inconsistent with their argument that "harm they suffer from the lockout is not compensable in monetary damages." Accordingly, the NFL respectfully requests that the Court grant a stay, suspending the injunction. Previous reporting suggested that Judge Susan Nelson set a 4 p.m. (central time) deadline in order to leave her an hour to consider her ruling. That would suggest an answer is imminent -- although there is no official timetable. ... Stay tuned.
