The Facts:
The Falcons and GM Thomas Dimitroff have agreed to a multiyear contract extension.

Fantasy Football Diehards Line:
The move comes after coach Mike Smith agreed to a similar extension in February. The exact terms of both contracts aren't available, but it's believed Smith and Dimitroff are under contract for the same period of time. Dimitroff and Smith came in together in 2008 and turned around a franchise that had fallen on hard times with Michael Vick's legal battles and the short tenure of coach Bobby Petrino. They have produced a winning record in each of their three seasons and went an NFC-best 13-3 last season. ... Dimitroff was named Executive of the Year by the Sporting News after the 2010 season for the second time in the past three years.
