The deal was done before the extension of the CBA which effectively ended all signings and other transactions until a new agreement is reached. ... Meanwhile, as the Redzone suggests, this seems like a curious move as Bennett is 33 years old, received just two carries in seven appearances last season and dating back to 2006 is averaging 3.54 yards per attempt. One possible reason for his return? He would provide insurance if the Raiders can't re-sign free agent Michael Bush.
