Westbrook, who played with the 49ers last season, wants to play for the Eagles again. “I talk to (Eagles HC Andy Reid) every week or so. We always talk. I would love to be back in Philly. So we’ll see how things go,” the veteran back said on Sunday. “I think they have a very good group of guys on the team as far as every position, but I still think I can help this team win.”

The 32-year old Westbrook, who played the first eight years of his career with the Eagles, looked good late last season with the 49ers. Meanwhile, as FOXSports.com's Adam Caplan notes, the Eagles currently have just two running backs on their 80-man roster -- LeSean McCoy and Eldra Buckley. Jerome Harrison played last season on a one-year deal. The Eagles tendered him as a restricted free agent, but he could become an unrestricted free agent depending on what free agency rules state once a new CBA is completed.
