The Facts:
Tolbert suffered a neck sprain and a shoulder contusion, a conclusion arrived upon after a series of tests at the stadium. Tolbert was never taken to the hospital, and while his arm was in a sling, he was well enough to speak with the press and fly home with the team.

Fantasy Football Diehards Line:
HC Norv Turner said Tolbert was stiff and sore Monday. The coach said Tolbert had an MRI and there’s no long-term damage or concerns. But Tolbert will be among the Chargers not playing this week (a list that likely will include Antonio Gates and Malcom Floyd). That will leave the bulk of carries for rookie Ryan Mathews and even get Curtis Brinkley another call-up and maybe his most extended number of snaps.
