The Facts:
At his weekly press conference today, Detroit Lions head coach Jim Schwartz would not reveal the team's starting quarterback for next week's game. Part of that is simply his nature and part of it is that he doesn't know which - if any - of the quarterbacks will be healthy.

Matthew Stafford (right shoulder) is not expected to be ready while Shaun Hill (broken right index finger) is getting closer. Drew Stanton, who has won the last two games as a starter, suffered a left shoulder injury and left the locker room with his shoulder in a sling after Detroit's 23-20 overtime win over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Will the injury prevent Stanton from starting again? "It's going to be on the radar screen,' Schwartz said. As MLive.com's Tom Kowalski suggested, the key to this puzzle is Hill. If he's ready to play -- and he was close last week - then Stanton's injury isn't as crucial because Hill would likely start anyway. ... Stay tuned.
