Fantasy Football Diehards Line:
Gates caused a little stir when he said after missing Sunday’s game he might consider not finishing the season due to the torn plantar fascia in his right foot. But given time to reflect, that stance has changed. ... Worth noting: Gates has seen specialists to assure him that he is not further damaging the foot by continuing to play. But when he does play, it is painful and he's not able to perform at his usual level. Gates said it has not been decided if he will play Thursday against the 49ers. If he doesn’t face the 49ers, the upside is there would be 21 days between the Raiders game and the Chargers’ Dec. 26 game at Cincinnati.
