Following up on the previous item. ... Romo's season could be in jeopardy because of a fractured left collarbone suffered Monday against the Giants. Depending on the severity of the injury, Romo could need surgery, which could knock him out for the year. He will get another exam Tuesday morning.

Recovery time is generally 8 to 10 weeks. With the Cowboys at 1-4, there may not be any reason to rush back even if it's a viable option. Whatever the case, those with Romo on their rosters clearly need to move on. We'll go ahead and note that Romo's replacement, John Kitna hit 16 of 33 passes for 187 yards and 2 TDs in relief tonight. He merits consideration based on a strong supporting cast. ...
