According to ESPN insider Adam Schefter, the total value of the new four-year contract extension agreed upon by the Patriots and Tom Brady is $72 million. Schefter added that $48.5 million is guaranteed. That comes in at slightly less than the $19 million per year SI.com's Peter King predicted in breaking the story. But still a considerable sum and one that King believes will be the largest annual salary in NFL history.According to Boston Globe staffer Shalise Manza Young, a league source confirms that the paperwork has been signed and will be submitted to league offices this morning.
