According to ESPN insider Adam Schefter, NFL commissioner Roger Goodell will not suspend Benson for his role in a June altercation in Texas.

Good news of Benson who was arrested and charged with assault in the incident at in Austin, Texas. Benson met with Goodell in New York last week and while all involved seemed optimistic the veteran tailback wouldn't be disciplined, it wasn't clear how long Goodell would take to announce his decision. We now have the desired resolution and outcome.
