Following up on a previous item. ... Colston recently underwent microscopic surgery on a troublesome left knee. It’s the same knee that required micro-fracture surgery following the 2008 season. Apparently the knee in question bothered him at the conclusion of the off-season program in mid-June so team officials decided to operate.

The good news? According to New Orleans Times-Picayune staffer Jeff Duncan, Colston isn't expected to miss much practice time, though. GM Mickey Loomis said Colston was able to pass the team's conditioning test during his rehab work Wednesday, and that he expects him to be "full go" by early next week. ... Loomis also told reporters that fellow WR Robert Meachem, on the PUP following off-season toe surgery,
