Mark Sanchez To Have Surgery... On Left Knee
(2/1 1:17 PT)

The Facts:
It’s not the right knee, but rather the left, that Sanchez might have surgery to repair, the New York Post reports. Jets sources tell the newspaper that Sanchez is thinking about whether he wants to have the surgery but likely will go ahead with it and rehab both knees this offseason. Reported by The Sporting News

Fantasy Football Diehards Line:
Sanchez met with orthopedist Dr. James Andrews, who recommends rehabilitation for the right knee that Sanchez injured during his rookie NFL season. Andrews and the Jets’ medical staff both recommend that Sanchez have what’s being called an "elective" procedure on his left knee to stabilize the ligaments around the patella, which the QB dislocated at USC in 2008. ESPN insider Chris Mortensen suggests the procedure won't be an issue this coming season -- but the rehab might be more extensive than is currently being advertised.
