Welker has not yet had surgery to repair the torn ligaments in his left knee. It is not clear when it’ll happen or where it’ll happen. But it has not taken place yet.

And as Herald staffer Ian Rapoport notes, that’s not good or bad news. The intention had been to allow the MCL to heal before going under the knife. He had told Jim Traber of WWLS Radio in Oklahoma City that, “We’re just taking our time right now. We’ve got a little bit of time right now to wait on that to heal and just kind of get ready and make sure that we exhaust all the options.” That process is ongoing.
