The Facts:
On the first business day after Marshall was exonerated from battery charges following a trial Friday in Atlanta, his agent, Kennard McGuire, walked into the Broncos' headquarters between training camp workout sessions Monday. Two NFL sources said McGuire sought out Broncos management to get a feel for their position on giving Marshall a contract extension.

According to Post staffer Mike Klis, the Broncos told McGuire they were not willing to rework his deal, which has one year and $2.2 million remaining. Marshall then reiterated his trade request that he gave in June. The Broncos again told Marshall on Monday that they would not trade him. ... Meanwhile, the team reportedly formally apologized to Marshall after a media relations employee instructed teammates not to express too much joy or emotion if questioned by the media about Marshall’s acquittal after the 49ers game.
