The Facts:
Back at the end of Plaxico Burress and his defense team asked for an adjournment of his hearing until June 15. Well, that's Monday. And Burress' attorney, Benjamin Brafman, just told Newsday this Monday will be just like that Tuesday in March and that another adjournment will be asked for and granted. It's up to the court to decide how long that adjournment will last.

As Newsday's Tom Rock noted, Burress has reportedly told Brafman to keep him out of jail. Burress has also reportedly expressed a desire to play in the NFL in 2009 (something that would be difficult to do while in jail). Burress is facing two felony gun charges. Those charges each carry a minimum sentence of 3 and a half years in jail, although they are typically bargained down to lesser crimes with shorter jail sentences. Brafman told reporters today, however, that no deal is imminent.
