According to ESPN, Vikings staff members -- including a trainer and coach -- will be traveling to Mississippi in coming days to meet with Favre to gauge his his progress following arthroscopic shoulder surgery and his desire to sign with the Vikings.

ESPN.com insider John Clayton believes OC Darrell Bevell, formerly Favre's position coach in Green Bay, will be the member of the staff making the visit. And this just in. ... There's still a chance Favre, who is said to be throwing (although still concerned about the healing process) is going to join the Vikings in time for training camp. And as we've said since Favre-Watch 2009 began, that chance is about 100 percent. Favre wants to play; the Vikings want him to play; his recently-scoped shoulder is the only obstacle. Stay tuned.
