The Facts:
Anytime a player undergoes surgery there is concern, but there have been conflicting reports in the past 24 hours as to whether the debridement procedure that Westbrook is having today is a serious one. Derrick Gunn from Comcast SportsNet told the WIP Morning Show on Friday that he spoke with two team sources, one of them Thursday evening, about the procedure and both of them said that their understanding is that this is a "minor" one.

Fantasy Football Diehards Line:
This after Bob Brookover of the Philadelphia Inquirer cited a "source close to the situation" who said that "I'm just concerned that (the surgery) is being underplayed. It's a lot more than a little spur and it's much more than the knee arthroscopy (that Westbrook had earlier in the off-season). ..." Meanwhile, Les Bowen of the Philadelphia Daily News spoke with HC Andy Reid on Thursday about the surgery. Reid said that it is "a small, little thing" and that he's "not that worried about it. ..." Conflicting reports? Shocking. We'll continue to follow up, of course, but we suspect the truth will be slow to emerge.
