Now that Stallworth officially has been arraigned on DUI manslaughter charges and remains free on bond pending a trial that has yet to be scheduled, the question as to whether he can rejoin the Browns will hinge in large part on whether the Browns want him. There’s evidence to suggest that they still do.

According to PFT's Mike Florio, Stallworth received the first installment on a $4.875 million roster bonus that was earned the day before the incident that resulted in the charges he currently faces. A source with knowledge of the situation told Florio Stallworth received $2.25 million from the Browns on May 15. Florio adds that if the Browns were done with him, they would have stiffed him. True enough. ... So, Florio sums up, if Stallworth eventually is given an opportunity to plead to a lesser charge of DUI the Browns might welcome him back after he serves his jail time and an inevitable suspension.
