The New York Daily News reported that the Jets were interested in trading for Quinn and talked to the Browns on Friday about him. Instead, the Jets traded up from No. 17 for the Browns' No. 5 overall pick and picked Mark Sanchez. How much thought did the Browns give to keeping Sanchez for themselves? "We looked at it," said Mangini. "We made the trade and that's what we wanted to do. ..." For what it's worth, SI.com's Peter King suggested that former Jets QB Brett Ratliff wasn't just a "throw-in" on the trade for the fifth pick; per King "Mangini likes him a lot."
